How accessible is this website?

This website partially meets the accessibility requirements. The website has some shortcomings in accessibility and they have been described in more detail below.

Detailed information about technical accessibility

The website is not yet fully accessible.

Inaccessible content and its shortcomings:

  • On the website, the contrast between different colours is too low in places. (WCAG 1.4.11).
  • In places, text spacing is too narrow due to the platform used. (WCAG 1.4.12).
  • The website contains attachments that are not accessible. (WCAG 1.3.1, WCAG 2.4.6).
  • Not all search features work correctly with a screen reader. (WCAG 1.3.1, 3.3.2, 4.1.2).
  • The focus indicator is not automatically visible, instead it needs to be activated through the keyboard. (WCGA 2.4.7).
  • In the forms, the required fields are not identified by a screen reader in all sections. (WCAG 3.3.2).

The shortcomings listed here will be fixed as part of the lup.fi website redesign project during 2021.

The lup.fi website includes content that has been added through social media platforms such as Twitter. Videos published through the Länsi-Uusimaa Rescue Department’s social media accounts do not include audio descriptions. The accounts include images and videos that have been published before 23 September 2020 and are not accessible.
